London Freedom Pass
 
If you are aged 60 or over or an eligible disabled person and live permanently in a London borough, you can apply for a Freedom Pass.
 
This gives you free travel on buses, Tube, trains, Docklands Light Railway and trams in London (see details below).
 
If you already have a Freedom Pass, you don't need a new pass until 2010, but you will need to get a sticker for your existing Freedom Pass before April 2008. You will then be able to continue using your pass in London and for off-peak local bus travel across England from 1st April 2008.

 

Bus

You can travel free on most buses within the boundary of the London boroughs, between 9am and 4.30am the following morning from Monday to Friday, and all day at weekends and on public holidays.


Tube

Your Freedom Pass allows you to travel free Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.30am the following morning, and all day on weekends and on public holidays.

National Rail
Freedom Pass holders may travel free in standard accommodation on most local rail services between 9.30am and 4.30am the following morning from Monday to Friday, and all day at weekends and on public holidays.It is not valid for travel on train services operated by Gatwick Express, National Express East Coast, East Midlands Trains, CrossCounty, Virgin Trains and Heathrow Express, or on Heathrow Connect between Hayes & Harlington and Heathrow.

 

Docklands Light Railway
Your Freedom Pass allows you travel free between 9am and 4.30am the following morning Monday to Friday, and all day at weekends and on public holidays.

 

Trams
Your Freedom Pass allows you to travel free on Tramlink after 9am Monday to Friday, as well as all day at weekends and on public holidays.

Thames River services
Freedom pass
holders can get a discount on many Thames river services

 

Disabled Freedom Pass holders can travel free at all times on all the above services except National Rail and Thames River services.
